Ted helped my family with finding and buying several homes. He was more than a buyers agent to us. He was a warm, sweet man that touched people he met. I have thought about him often and just learned that he passed away. I will miss him very much. May the Lord bless his family and I look forward in seeing him again someday.
Dear grandpa, I miss you more and more everyday. They say it gets easier but there is still a huge void in my life and I feel like I wouldn't b in the position I was in if u were still here I love you gpa. Oh ya and I wrecked the jeep.....sry
Ted helped me buy two houses as a Buyer's Agent. He was a great guy... I will never forget his hat, his mustache or his sense of humor. I am very sorry for your loss.
As Deputy Director of the St. Louis County Department of Planning, Ted was on the hiring team for my first professional job right out of graduate school. And, yes his handlebar moustache made quite an impression. I saw again him years later at the Kingshighway medical campus and except for the shorter moustache, he looked and sounded much the same. Those we have loved live forever in our hearts.
I worked with Ted from 1972-1980 at the St. Louis County Department of Planning while Ted was Deputy Director of Planning. We always called him "Deputy Dog", which I don't know if he was aware of - it did not represent a derogatory connotation. It might have been related to his waxed "handlebar mustache". Ted came to visit me while I was in the hospital during those years - which I always appreciated. Am very sorry for your loss and wish the family the best.
I am very sorry for your loss. I worked for the Planning Department from 1964 until 2010 so knew Ted well and occasionally ran into him after he left there. He was always kidded about his propensity to pick through the icing pieces on the cakes we always brought in for our usual birthday celebrations. I wish the family all the best at getting past this sad event ... I'm sure the support from family and close friends will lend strength to that difficult effort.
Jacque, Justin, Jesse and Josh...We know how you feel..we've been there. Your Dad and Grandpa would want you all to live happy and fulfilling lives. So cry for now but know that brighter days are coming! With Love...
Jen - you're in my thoughts. Losing a parent is never easy - it's like part of your childhood memories gone. But you have great stories to retell and help keep his memory alive and well. ...Playing the tuba will also get him entrance into any place he wants to go! Vicki Walker (KCMO)
