I´m so grateful that the family has kept Jim´s legacy alive and well in Farottos. I´ve been coming there since 1956 and it´s still my first stop when we go through St. Louis.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jim Parrott. Farotto's has been my favorite place since I was a teen in Glendale in the 60s. I remember sitting at the counter and being shown the "new" automatic dough flattening machine. This must have been in the early 70s. He was so proud of that machine! What great memories! So sorry to hear he left us so young. I didn't realize he was the same age as me.

Our deepest sympathies go out to your family. I have been going to Farottos since it opened in 1956. I got my husband hooked on Farottos pizza in the 1970's. That is always our first stop when we get to St. Louis. Jim was an awesome man and always so welcoming. We talked with him many times over the years and would leave with the feeling of having a wonderful interaction with an old friend. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He made a huge difference in so many ways. We will be stopping there in a few weeks on our trip from Iowa to Florida. Thank you Jim for all the wonderful experiences and memories. To Jim's Family,

My deepest sympathies to your family. I remember Jim since I was a kid when Farotto's was just a concession type of restaurant. My parents started going to Farotto's since 1956. My dad who died in 1978, said he hoped to live for the day when Farotto's would turn into a huge restaurant as your pizza is the best in the nation! When I lived up east my mom used to send me your pizzas on dry ice. New York pizza is the worst! Now that I am back in St. Louis since 1992, my mom and I still continue to go to the Farotto's in Chesterfield Valley, only ten minutes from my home. Jim's spirit will forever live on at Farotto's! He was a great guy!

Again, my deepest sympathies.

My uncle Jim will never be forgotten! When he was in your presence you could not have a bad time. He was an all around good human being. I am sure he will be watching over his family up above with baby Danny.

Dear Jeff, Linda and Lisa,
So saddened to hear of the loss of your Dad. He was a great father and a friend to all.
Jim was always a fun guy to be around. Jim and my Dad could always share a funny story and make the whole room laugh out loud.
Your Dad was one hell of a businessman and he touched the lives of so many people, he will be missed but he left behind a wonderful family to keep the business going for the next generation.

Jim was a peach of a guy and always fun to be with. The Maher family have all been customers since the day the store opened long ago. One of the reasons generations stayed so loyal so long is the fondness we had for Jim and that large extended family. He was generous to a fault and, without boring you with the details, particularly so to our daughter, Sarah.

God bless Jim and the family.

What a beautiful gift Heaven got when they got Jim, & what an empty spot we will feel for a long time. Jim was a one of the most genuine souls we have ever met. He treated his customers like friends, his friends like family, & his family like gold. Can't say I have ever heard anybody say one bad word about him. He spread his love throughout the earth & we are all blessed to have been part of who he was. Jim lived his life with his heart & he shared that heart with all. Honored to have known one of he good guys. Our love & prayers to all of you & May God keep you close during this time. We are so sorry for your loss & sad hearts. Gary & Kathy Bourgeois

I have fond memories of going to Farotto's when I was very young and Jim was behind the counter making pizzas. He always had a smile on his face, dressed all in white with cigarettes rolled up in his T-shirt sleeve. He was a wonderful mentor to my son Sean and he will be sorely missed. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

He gave me my first job, washing dishes. Paid us right out of the cash register after he mopped up the whole place himself. That was 30 years ago. Last time I saw him and his wife, he was so nice and gracious. He will be missed.

It's been almost 25yrs since I worked for Jim but to this day he is still one of the best bosses I have ever had. Even though many of us who worked for Jim weren't family, he treated us like we were and we all felt a strong bond with Jim and his family even after we moved on from Farotto's. I will always remember what he taught us about having a strong work ethic, being generous and to always have a good time. My sincerest condolences to Linda and the Parrott family. Rest in peace my friend.

For a man who created a legacy, to compliment me on the job he once helmed, I feel honored. As little a compliment as it might seem, that was how he operated, making everyone feel welcome and good about what they were doing. Your persistent smile will be missed. Thanks for everything, Jim. One more "Goodnight".
