Bara, George 89, of Peachtree City, GA, previously from Aurora, IL, passed away July 13, 2013. He served in the Army Air Corp as a pilot of a B-25 during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. After the war he was a painting contractor in Aurora until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mary Caldwell-Crowell Bara; children, Mary Kay Streck, Susan Bara Cornwell, Robert "Bob" (Connie) Bara, Margaret "Peg" (Steve) Bernard and Joan (George) Ribarchick; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. There will be a memorial mass at Holy Angels Church in Aurora on September 1, 2013, at 11:00 AM followed by a small gathering of friends in Connor Hall in honor of his memory.
