McWethy family, Lee and family, I was sorry to hear about Dick's passing. He was a gentleman, superbly intelligent and ever humble. I think back to the late 70's at McWethy Brothers - so many good memories. This takes me back to Dick, Louie, Jimmy, Morgan and Mike - the epitome of a family business. Not so easy to duplicate today. Dick generously hosted a couple of our summer picnics and it was fun to catch up with him for a chat in the office. He always seemed so sincerely interested. I believe that he was on the cutting edge of "business casual" as we know it! God Bless you Dick!

I have so many memories of Dick from Dr. Koch and working at McWethy Brothers too. His quiet ways and quick smile will always be part of me.
So sorry we can't have such special people forever but know he'll be waiting with a story and a smile in heaven!

The Church of the Good Shepherd never had a better friend than Dick McWethy. And he was high on my personal list as well.
With gratitude for a generous man and a life well lived -

Sorry to hear of Dick's passing.
I enjoyed playing tennis with him at Washington Junior High. In the fall of the year he would bring in apples to share with his tennis buddies from his farm in Oswego.

So sorry to learn of Dick's passing. I have many memories of riding with Dick on those beloved trails in the Shawnee Hills of Suthern Illinois. This old "birder" reported the first Cattle Egret in northern Illinois from his pasture on Collins Rd.

Aunt Ann, Merrill, Peggy, and Lee so sorry to hear of your Fathers passing. He was such a great man and always made time for everyone. I loved seeing him out on the tennis courts. He was an inspiration to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. May he be back playing tennis with all of his buddies.
