Hey Bro, 8 years without you. Seems like just yesterday we were cutting into my house for another addition, having a drink, lighting a grill, listening to country, going on vacation or just hanging out. you must have been here tonight, in the game room. I was working on some emails and all of sudden, out of nowhere, you were in my thoughts. You've been gone for 8 years but you have never once been forgotten. I miss you everyday. I often wonder what we would be doing together these days. There's days I get mad that you were taken from us so soon. I guess God has a reason for everything - I'll never understand. Love you Bro

hey my brother. brett i still miss you so much. its been 7 years you been gone now and i still feel your spirit. you always made me do the right thing and i never understand why. but now i do the things that you teach me how to do things. and i am so happy that you was my brother . the bond we had together was so strong .when i get depressed i would think of what you would say to me like get over yourself and get a grip .and now you are gone i sometimes have to think that you are still watching over me and i feel that so much .you keep me doing the right thing in life to keep me safe .i now know when the good lord calls me home you will be there to take over keeping me safe .so i dont fall out of haven and hurt myself .i do miss you so much every time i go by the schools we did together it felt like we was still there working i also cry a lot when i go by everything we have done together..... Bro, it's been been four years that you have been gone from us. It seems like it was just yesterday. You know that you are always remembered, your name is always spoken and many cheers head your way on most every weekend. I just saw this, via facebook (scott) I am so so very sorry. I loved your whole family, and have many wonderful memories of you all. Remember the 7th grade dance that Brett asked me to?! He was my 7th grade boyfriend, church buddy growing up, sweet heart for sure. Blessings to you all.

Scott, I happen to see this in the paper over the weekend as I am still in Yorkville. I must have read it three times as I was very shocked. I met Brett once or twice when we were at Ty and he was very nice to me. I know you were very close to Brett and I can only imagine what you must be going through but I wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I just went to facebook and found this conversation going on about the loss of Brett. I am so, so sorry to hear about this. Shelly - we only met once. It was at Sharon and Scott's house when we were sitting at Scott's bar and I was bartending. I was doing pretend card tricks for you and Brett and we were laughing our butts off because I was just making it up as I went along and Brett was busting me. So my memory of him is with great big smile and a hardy laugh. God will see you through this and he'll ease your pain as time heals your heart. I'm glad I met Brett and my prayers are with you.

Brett was such a fun, kind-hearted guy.I feel blessed that some of the funnest times of my life, Bret was there.I will never forget Spring Break 2009 with the Wehrs family.Singing, dancing, and acting like fools that night in the motor home was a time I will NEVER forget.There are no words to describe what a lose this is. Brett, you were such a fun, kind-hearted guy. I feel so lucky to have gotten to share some of the funnest memories I have with you. I will never forget Spring Break Florida 2009. In the camper that one night we were all singing & dancing, and even though Scott said no more shot gunning you still grabbed another one & i actually ALMOST beat you! I will never forget those happy fun memories. I know you are up there looking down on the family. You will be greatly missed.
