Fran- as you know Phil and I became close "brothers" through the years at the troop reunions. I enjoyed a beer or two with him on those occasions. I will miss him and the hole that he will leave at the reunions. Peace and God bless you. Al and Barb Loomis
I was so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. I'll always remember him, beer in hand, kicking back during the old Eagle Lake fishing trip days.
Fran, may you find comfort in all your fond memories. Take care.
Years ago across from Bowen Park as a young Lad I learned the art of hard work with the accompanied meant of my older and hero some brother. One twenty seven Greenwood Rd., A tiny warehouse full of hard working hard drinking cohorts undaunted by any work load pushed on them that day because a measurable cold one awaited their accomplishment. Gary and I remember Phil for the man he was back in this stepping stone slice of humanity laded character filled time. We held no regrets we were only honing our survivor skills for later on when needed. No question God rest Phill in eternity he has earned it.

To my dear Auntie Fran, my cousin Jenny, and my dad, Bob, plus all of Uncle Phil's family and friends: I am so very sorry my beloved Uncle Phil has passed. I know our sadness is strong, Uncle Phil was my hero, he was very funny and kind. He would help anyone that needed it and I am grateful for all the talents and skills he shared with this world. I'm especially grateful that he offered love, guidance and acceptance to me always. He and Auntie Fran believed in me and gave me years and years of great memories with them and my sweet cousin Jenny. I know Uncle loved his nieces and nephews very much. He was a good brother and husband and friend to all. I will always cherish his love for our family and for our military. Auntie, dad and Jenny, may God bless you and watch over you in this sad time of loss. I know our Lord has wrapped his arms around Uncle Phil. I know he is offering his love and comfort always. I feel our Lord is witnessing a good chuckle when Uncle Phil and his dad, our cherished Papaw, are together again. Those two sure could make us laugh and enjoy life when they were together for many adventures. May God help us remember the good times with Uncle Phil. May he watch over Aunt Fran and keep her safe and loved! May God offer a warm hug to Jenny and my dad, for God is humbled by their love and support for Uncle Phil. To my Uncle, I just want to send you hugs and gratitude, I love you so, so much, and I am grateful for every moment with you. May we all unite to offer Auntie comfort and kindness in the days ahead.
Fran and family, my deepest sympathies. I am proud to have been friends with such a great man.
