We know this is a difficult day for Bill´s family. Anniversary days are always difficult. You were a great neighbor and a grandpa for our children because theirs was so far away. We will always remember your kindness and those delicious Christmas goodies you and Mrs. B always shared. Rest In Peace my friend!

I spent many overnight visits with Mr and Mrs Bennett as a child. I loved their kindness as I learned to play card games with them, enjoy their pup as he would run to get his own leash when time for a walk, grocery shop with Mrs Bennett, and later on, helping her grade papers from her younger students. These times were precious; they were such loving folks. I wish I had a couple pics of them!!

Mr. Bennett was my boss at ESO, and we have kept in touch since 1976. I didn't realize Mr. Bennett passed away until his birthday card came back. When we went to Waukgan a couple weeks go and we stopped by his house, I knew then that somehing happened to my wonderful friend, Mr. Bennett. He was a wonderful person, and when I would visit him when we would head north to Minnesota it was such a pleasure to talk with him. My deepest sympathy to his son and family.

Bill was a very dear part of my life. Growing up I always felt such peace and love in his presence. I have such cherished fond memories of him. I feel very honored to have known him. I share his lessons with my own children today. I have a little mourning dove family that has taken nest outside my bedroom window. That was the first bird he told me about and every time I see them I think of him. He told me once that the night hawks don't come around anymore. I told him that they come to me now so that I can think of him. He will forever be a treasured part of my life. I am a better person having known him.

Bill and Grayce were our neighbors in Waukegan for fourteen years before we moved to Virginia in 1993. We really enjoyed their friendship and could not have asked for better neighbors. Bill took such pride in his yard and garden and taught our youngest daughter alot about nature which she is passing on to her children. We have many fond memories of Bill and he was very proud of his son, daughter-in-law and grandson. We will miss him and were honored to have called him friend and neighbor.
