One of a kind- I always think of my dad- who listened to Slim when I was little- both very good men - very missed. RIP

I knew mr. Whitman as I called him ,I worked at a hotel in nash as the bell captain in the 80's .mr Whitman would come from the airport in a cab,alwaws carring one bag.i would meet & greet him and take him to his room,and he would always so very plitley say thank you,an always slip you a $10..00 bill he was not a cheap man,and always a good converaction.most big ent. usually tiped from 50cents to a dollar,but not mr Whitman he was a good guy in lots of ways.family I am very sorry for your loss

I will never forget going to his concert and having dinner with him and son Byron afterwards at our Hotel. What a vacation that was for us.
