On behalf of Delta State University, I express condolences. I was the alumni director for 25 years and met coach Wilson on several occasions cwe presented him an outstanding alumnus award at one time and he was so gracious. What an exemplar alumnus. He will be missed
He always remembered me when I returned to visit my mother on 53rd street and to attend First Baptist. He is one of those whom I knew and respected in Gulfport. I will drive by his home and feel his loss. So many were blessed by his life, what a great legacy he leaves for his family
Sympathies. Coach Wilson should be remembered for being such a positive influence on so many. I remember him giving young teenagers the chance to coach, umpire, keep the score book, etc.---building a work ethic at an early age! Mike Terry
Coach Wilson was the first person I met when I moved to Gulfport. He rode his bicycle up my driveway and started talking to me. That started the 12 year friendship we had while I was there. Dr. Carr and I loved to visit with him because of his knowledge on so many subjects. He will be so missed in the neighborhood because of his kindness to everyone. God Bless the family. My thoughts are with you.
Tommy, and family, Jerry and I are so very sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a very special person, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Brenda and Jerry Prothro & Family
condolences from the family of James T. Kirby
Sophye and I offer our sympathy to the family. He was a well liked member of the community and will be missed.
My acquaintance with Coach Wilson was through my friendship with his son Herb and grandchildren Herbie and Emily over the past thirty years... he was unfailingly kind and well spoken, and was for me the epitome of a true southern gentleman. As I read his obituary, I was struck by how little about him I really knew, in a lifetime spanning over ninety years... he was already retired when I met him! He was well-loved by his family and friends and the community he served for so many years, and will be missed by us all.
I was so sorry to hear about the death of your daddy, granddaddy and great grand daddy. He was a good man. I had many conversations with him and your mother at the office. His passing will leave a void in many lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Praying for your family during this time. Randy and Linda Brownlee
This is a man that served his community beyond measure.....he will be missed by many.

Definitely a talented man that touched the lives of many, many Gulfport people, some of whom never had a conversation with him. Thank you, Coach; you will be missed.
Steve and I are so very sorry but know he is with his Father in Heaven.
One of the great great men of Gulfport. His life impacted so many many people. I am 66 and Coach Wilson was there when I was in elementary school. This is one man I truthful say had no person who did not just love him. I will miss you and your time in on this earth. I would say let rename Milner stadium after Coach Wilson.
Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.
Herb and Emily and the family. He will be so fondly remembered by so many. He will always be Coach. Alva Peden
