he will be sadly missed. i worked for him years ago at lil rays. was a great boss
Ray was a unique and great guy and was one heck of a softball player in his day. He played on and later sponsored my dad's softball team that won the state tournament. When he opened up Little Rays, I and my poor college friends, John Wade, Strat Poindexter, my wife Susan and sometime others would go out after hours and Ray would provide us with food and drinks. My dad really respected him and every time I saw Ray he would ask about him. A wonderful guy with a great family.

When I was young, Mr. Ray was always smiling, always seemed genuinely interested in what was going on in my kid life. Plus, he had so much style. But the best thing I can say about him is that he and Miss Jackie raised three outstanding people. My and Amber's thoughts go out to the Kidds.

When someone dies people express sentiments such as "He will be missed." "What a great man." "He was a shining light." "What a kind person." Only one of these would be a tribute. For Ray Kidd all of these are true. Ray, now you will be able to oversee every Saints game...and maybe even help them from above. Love to all the Kidd family, especially my dear friend, Jackie. Know Ron and I are there in spirit.
It was always great knowing Ray. His endless smile and always positive attitude. Our prayers are with his entire family. We are so sorry that we can not be there for his wake and funeral but we will be there in spirit from North Carolina.

Ray was a good man. We first met at PRC and then were at Southern Miss together. As young men we played tennis together when we both lived in the Bay/waveband area. I moved away but
would drop by on the rare occasions I was back in the area for a po boy and to share a laugh with Ray. I will miss him.
