Such a nice way to remember the someone you love. I'm sure many of us would have liked to have met him, but maybe someday we will.

Thank you; thank you for writing so beautiful about your Dad. He sounds like a fabulous guy. Thank you for reminding me to apprecaite my own dad for many of the same qualities you praise of yours. We should all be so lucky and blessed to be loved and understood for exactly who we really are.
I wish you, your family and your father's friends comfort and grace in his absence.

From this know it all Yankee I sir would have loved to be your friend. People like Harry are few and far between and that is a shame. The words of that obit were from his daughter but they were dictated to her from the Lord above. I lack any ability to even come close to the love and understanding they show. I feel qenuinely cheated to have never known or met Harry and I feel an overall sadness for having missed out on that. RIP Harry and may God's peace and understanding be with your loved ones too.

What a wonderful tribute. He must have been quite a character. I am so sorry for your loss.

What a fantastic tribute for an obviously wonderful man. I'm sure that he is enjoying his time in paradise - hope that he gets to meet my parents, they will get along great!

From one true Southerner to another...rest in peace and May God bless..although we move in life, we're still from "the south!"

What a wonderful, loving tribute to your Dad. I agree with Harry on so many things; wished I'd met him. Many blessings on your family.

What a great story for what sounds like a very good man. My hope is that one of my children will compose something at least partly as moving as this story was when my time comes...as it does for all.
