What a beautiful coined obituary. It is my loss for never meeting him but feel as though I would have loved him if I had the chance. My prayers are with your family at this time. May Harry rest in eternal peace.

Harry was a great and unique human being, that we all cherished the opportunity to be a small part of his life! His contributions to the college were unmatched, and he made his mark that will always be there in spirit! The obituary clearly describes him and the way that he loved his girls! May God's Grace be with you as you celebrate his life!`

I wish he was my daddy. I'm glad he was somebody's. What a wonderful man and loving tribute to a Southern original.

I am honored to read this magical obituary which both draws a picture of a life well lived while it makes me wish I could have known Mr. Stamps better...indeed..I wish I had known him AT ALL! I believe my life would only be the better for it, and I pray that you will all continue to cherish your memories of this incredible man until such time as you, too, deftly sidestep Daylight Savings Time to meet your MAKER, and rejoin with Mr. Stamps. Thank you all, the writer or writers of this obit, and the many who wrote condolences and remembrances...thank you ALL for sharing Harry Stamps with me today.

Aunt Ann, we are so sorry to hear of uncle Harry's passing. I remember fondly birthday parties for the girls when we were little when Pop and Sue would bringing me over. Uncle Harry always seemed to keep people chuckling with one story or another. It has been many many years since those days but they were good memories. From the things I have been reading here he has touched so many lives over the years, what a history to pass on, I'm sure people will be telling storys about him for years to come! You and the girls will be in our prayers during this time, Love from our family to yours!
