I can only hope to have an obituary like this at the end of my life. Well done, Harry!

This is crazy. When I took Sociology at MGCCC, my instructor was Harry Stamps? Oh my gosh he was the funniest man I have ever known. He kept us laughing through the entire semester. We only had two tests, a mid term and a final. I clearly remember the mid term. It was 3 legal sheets, front and back and might as well have been written in Greek. When I turned my test in, I looked at him and said, "You're a s___, and you know it." He just grinned. I made it out of his class with a B and knew he gave it to me because the final was as ad as the mid term. God rest his soul. If he is in Heaven, I know he has the full attention of everyone there and has them in stitches.

I never knew Mr. Stamps, but came across his obituary from a friend. He seems like an amazing man with a wonderful family (that have a terrific sense of humor). I wish I did know him. God Bless him and death to Daylight Savings.

Amanda,
So sorry to hear about your dad. He was one of the funniest human beings around. I never left a conversation with him without a smile, and more often then not, I would be holding my side from laughter. Your words are a fitting tribute to a wonderful man.

Condolences. I never had the honor to meet Mr. Stamps, but he sounds like someone I would love to have known.

I Was not able to meet Mr. Stamps and I feel as though I really missed out. He sounds charmingly stubborn! My deepest sympathies to Mr. Stamps' family and friends. You have truly lost a treasure!

I did not know Mr. Harry, which is my loss, but I surely would have liked him! I am so very sorry for your loss, but I imagine Mr. Harry is right now petitioning St. Peter to repeal Daylight Savings Time. What a wonderful tribute to your loved one.
