In 1978 I went down to McDonald's to buy some wood to build a cradle for our first baby. When Mr. Jim found out what I was buildind he told me I needed some really nice wood. He went up in the attic and returned with some beautiful old yellow pine. When I asked how much it cost he said it was a gift and to just bring him a picture of our new baby in the cradle. What a kind man.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Jim from my teenage years. He was a blessing to those who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with the McDonald family during this difficult time. May God give you peace and strength. Much love.

Mr. McDonald was such a nice man. We will certainly miss seeing him in the back room of the store. Our thoughts and prayers are with his lovely daughters who always know where the right screw or nail can be found.

Jim was a true Southern gentleman who always had a word of encouragement. Our condolences to Winnie and the rest of the family.
