John Herman Weaver, age 73, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Saucier. He was born in Deer Park, AL, and was a lifelong resident of Saucier, MS.
John was the Business Agent for the Bricklayers' Local Union #10, a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. He served as president of the Gulf Coast Building Trades Council, and held memberships with the J. L. Power Lodge, where he was the past master, and Joppa Shrine Temple. He was a Korean War veteran, and a lifelong member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Estelle Weaver; his sister, Hattie Rivers; and his brothers, Glen, Joe, Jimmy, and Bill Weaver.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Callie Weaver; his children, Deborah (Jimmy) Davis, David (Risa) Weaver, Rick (Amy) Weaver, Michael (Debbie) Weaver, and Stacey Weaver; his siblings, Mae Cornish, Wilson (Martha) Weaver, Barbara Payne, Irene Kennedy, and Chuck (Sandra) Weaver; his 11 grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; and Christina (Zach) Grimes .
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, September 6, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior, on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Poplar Head United Methodist Church, Success Rd., Saucier. Burial will follow at Poplar Head United Methodist Cemetery.
