Patrick Michael "Pat" Drouilhet, age 46, of Pass Christian, passed away on March 30, 2014.
Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Drouilhet, and his mother, Gayle Gahagan Drouilhet. His great love for his mother and daughter has now reached its fullness as they were reunited in eternity in Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Drouilhet, a son, John-Paul Drouilhet, a student at Notre Dame, IN, his father, Raymond (Cookie) Drouilhet, his siblings, Terri (Gary) Walters, Sherri (David) Blackwood, Sonny Drouilhet, and Tim (Andree) Drouilhet, father and mother-in-law, Ennis and Ann Johnson, a brother-in-law, Ennis (Karen) Johnson, a sister-in-law, Lisa (Steve) Camiola, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Patrick attended St. Louis King of France, St. John Prep and was a graduate of Redeemer High School in Metairie. He later attended Univ. of New Orleans before entering the U. S. Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Camp Lejeune, and Albany. He was currently employed as a Table Games shift manager at Hard Rock Casino and previously worked at Beau Rivage, Grand Casino Biloxi and the Isle of Capri. Patrick was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where he taught SRE classes, worked with LifeTeen, served on the school board, past president of PTO, Knights of Columbus and a member and past president of the Carnival Association of Long Beach. He was active in supporting St. Stanislaus Athletics having served as a swim coach for the Aqua Rocks. Patrick was a loving husband, father, coworker, and friend to all who knew him. Pat loved his wife so deeply and was the best husband and father imaginable. He was so proud to have his son attending the University of Notre Dame and would tell anyone that he met.
Patrick never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He was fair and loving in all he did. He loved his job, and especially loved working with youth. Patrick exposed so many to his faithful love of God, comforting, encouraging and inspiring his family and students with the extraordinary way he lived. Pat considered himself blessed to have a circle of friends whom he loved and cared for so much. Most of all, he loved his country, his family and his God.
Patrick fought the good fight, and would want to thank all those who fought his valiant fight with him.

God's speed, Pat. Your angel wings are surely made of pure gold just like your heart. The tears we shed are not only representative of our sadness for ourselves because we will miss your earthly presence, but also representative of our joy for the honor of knowing and loving you. Heaven has definitely gained a perfect angel. Prayers of healing and unending love are being sent up for the entire family.
