Alfred Milone passed away on October 18, 2013 at the age of 90. He was a resident of Parkland for the past 10 years. Al was born April 8, 1923 in Bronx, N.Y. He graduated from Evander Childs High School, then served with the Eighth Air Force during WWII. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross after completing 35 bombing missions over Nazi Germany. He met his lifetime mate "Marge" while stationed briefly in Galesburg, Ill. Al and Marge moved to Daytona Beach, Florida in 1967, where they ran a retail business and invested in commercial real estate. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie after 57 years of marriage. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Mary Anna Milone of Coral Springs, Florida, and a daughter and son-in-law of Ormond Beach, Florida. Alfred and Marge led by example; teaching their children that love, laughter and communication were the key to a sustaining partnership. For these precious "life lessons," their children thank them.
