"An angel does not choose us, God assigns us.
A friend takes her hand and brings us closer to God.
An angel has a duty of care.
A friend cares for love.
An angel helps you have trouble avoiding.
A friend helps you solve them.
An angel see you suffer, without poderte embrace.
A friend hugs you, not wanting to see you suffer.
An angel see you smile and look at your joy.
A friend makes you smile and makes you part of their happiness.
An angel knows when you need someone to listen.
A friend listens to you without telling you need it.
An angel, is actually part of your dreams.
A friend, share and fight for your dreams, a reality.
An angel is always with you there, know wonder.
A friend, when not with you, not only misses you, also think about yourself.
An angel candle your dream.
A friend of dreams with you.
An angel applauds your success.
A friend will help you to succeed.
An angel is concerned when you're wrong.
A friend cannot do enough because you're right.
An angel receives a sentence of yours.
A friend makes a prayer for you.
An angel helps you survive.
A friend lives for you.
For an angel, you're a beautiful mission.
For a friend, you are a treasure to defend.
An angel, it's heavenly.
A friend is the opportunity to know more beautiful in life, "love and friendship."
An angel wants to be your friend.
A friend, unintentionally, it's your Angel."

Ali, Thanks for being our Friend and our Angel!!! With love, The Valentin-Cabrera Family.

Ali is constantly on our mind. During this Holiday season, I thought of the way that she decorated for Christmas both inside and outside of her home. She was amazing and festive all year around, but during Christmas, she let all her spirit shine. She was such an inspiration, and such a blessing, it was as if she was telling us all to take the opportunity to enjoy each day as if it were your last. Never leave words of love unsaid because you might not have the chance tomorrow. She always gave compliments, and said kind words without hesitation. The Alberti Family WILL NEVER forget the Caceres family, especially Ali!!

Your mother has been a true and real angel put on this Earth to guide and teach everyone that she has come in contact with. As you know her humor and wisdom is one of a kind. She is so special and dear and will always be there in your heart and many others that she has touched too. She was a great person and you are so lucky to have had her as your MOM.

Michael, You will never be able to forget your mom...she will live within you always since you were created from her. She was everything you know and more...as your life goes on, you will feel her in your soul. She will ALWAYS have her hand upon your shoulders. There to protect you in every step you take, along with Jesus'. She will surround you with her love, always being your guardian angel. When you fall she will be there with our Lord to help you and heal your wounds. When you accomplish your greatest milestones, she will be there with kisses and hugs. How wonderful to know she is always with you....when you close your eyes, you will be able to feel her kisses and hugs deep in your heart. She gave you so much to carry on through life...peace and love to you and your dad....We all love you.

You and I met in High School-at Plantation High- when I tranferred from R.I. to Florida for only 2 school years (10th and 11th grade). I unexpectedly moved back to my home town of Lincoln, Rhode Island after 11th grade, but I never forgot about you and our short-lived time together. We had a great time playing on the volleyball team and biking around your neighborhood (even when I had a leg cast from a broken ankle, lol). You were always so friendly, upbeat and very funny!!- always joking around and trying to learn Spanish (you spoke "Spanglish" a lot--ha,ha,ha). I will never forget your sense of humor and your zest for life, which continued in your amazing journal entries. Love and prayers to you up in heaven and to your family down here on earth. God bless.

Your mom and I became friends in Mrs. Smith’s 3rd-grade class at Mirror Lake Elementary. Even then, she had a tremendous capacity for fun. She always wanted to play outside and NEVER seemed to get tired. She wasn’t the type of kid to sit around watching TV, and the worst thing ever was when your grandma made her go inside to fold towels. I would help, but it seemed like it took hours (but I’m pretty sure it took us about 10 minutes, even with all of our moaning and groaning). Of course, your grandma was very good to us, and I loved playing at the DeSanti house. Alice and I loved looking at the wedding picture of your grandparents in the dining room. I always knew Alice would make the best wife and mother, just like her mother was. As we got older, your mom never lost her sense of humor, and she could always make all of her friends laugh. In high school volleyball practice, we could always count on your mom to pull someone’s shorts down just as the girl was about to hit the ball. I have a picture of a girl sleeping on the car ride back from volleyball camp with your mom’s foot – toes splayed apart – right under her nose. Know that not everyone has a bazillion people who love her, but your mom did because she had a unique and intense love of life - and all bazillion of us will be thinking of you and wishing you the best as you grow up.

Your mom, as I’m sure you already know, was special. She was kind….always! Even as a 12 year old kid in middle school, she seemed to have a strong sense of who she was. Not only would she never put anyone else down, but she wouldn’t stand by idly and let someone else spread their negativity. She had a way of making each person feel important, whether it was a close friend or someone she hadn’t spoken to in years. In high school she was the kind of person who defied cliques. Everyone liked Alice and Alice got along with everyone….not an easy feat in high school. From your Mom’s posts, I smile to see that you have that same beautiful spirit and strength of character. And I know because of that, your life will be filled with love and happiness.

Ali- you've changed my life in so many ways. From your bright smile & warm heart, to the strength you gave me with each phone call and update. Your strength & courage helps me everyday when I think I just can't take anymore pokes & prodding. I think your time with us was way too short- your legacy will live on in our hearts forever. May Mike & mikey be covered in prayer & comfort with each day that passes. Everyone who knew you are better people because of it. I know I am.

Ali,
You courage, strength and humor were amazing. You have touched so many lives! You somehow made this journey humorous not only for yourself but unselfishly for us! Your smile lit up a room. Your words and journal entries kept us a part of your journey. So many people lived to read the next entry in your journal! Your courage to share your story with us was amazing. As Michael grows up I hope he will always remember how brave, unselfish, kind, humble, amazing and HILARIOUS you were! You are our angel! Sweet Dreams or None my friend until we meet again!

This is for Michael, Jr.: I worked with your mommy at Entin Margules & Della Fera just before you were born. I first met her right before I interviewed at the firm, and I remember it vividly, because she was unusually sweet. Of course, when I got to know her, I found out that she was unusually brave, unusually funny, and tremendously happy! How very lucky you are to have had her in your life and to carry her forever in your heart. I know that you will make her proud!

Alice and I briefly reconnected on Facebook. She found an old picture of us in the early 90's that she wanted to share. Her bright smile and kind heart never changed. I feel very blessed to have known Alice. My deepest condolences to her family and friends for I am sure their pain is great.

I never met you in the physical person, but your love , generosity of spirit and understanding of our journey was so important to me. Our conversations were what carried me through so many complex moments, and yet we found humor and a quiet peace between us. I'm quite sure your son will carry you in his heart forever. And to the Love of your Life----Know that Ali will never leave you. I thank God for Ali, she was a Blessing to me. With her strength and knowledge, along with my sisters ,they will find a cure for this AML.

After Glow

I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done

I only had the privilege of meeting Ali for a few days three years ago when I went to Florida with my girlfiend, Tracey. Ali welcomed me into her home just as though I were as close a friend to her as Tracey was. Even in the small amount of time I got to know her, she made a lasting impression on my life. My sincere condolences to her family for their loss, but know that Ali touched so many, many people in her brief time. She will always be remembered as a true inspiration.

Ali was an amazing one of a kind person. she touched everyone's hearts with her love and kindness. She always put everyone else first. She is my hero and will always be my hero. As her life ended so young, she made a impression and a difference in people lives. She will never be forgotten. She will now rest in peace and do as Ali does her best, watch over all of us and give her love and her smile to all of us...... She will always have a special place in my heart...... I did not know Alice but do know Roe DeSanti many years. Roe spoke so highly and affectionately about her sister Alice the last time I saw her. It's crystal clear Roe loved and adored her sister. From all the wonderful memories and kind things written about Alice, it goes without saying, she will forever be in the hearts of all the lives she touched. My thoughts, prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to all for their loss.
