I remember Mr. Food on TV back in the 80s when I was little and my mom would be watching the 12 pm news on WKBN Youngstown, and I always got a kick out of the "Ooh, it's so good!" tagline. Watching you later on I saw how you made cooking seem easy and fun, and I could see how you loved your work, coming into our homes. You are certainly missed, Mr. Food!

Four years after your death, I've just learned about it (I am so slow), and I'm sitting here in tears as if it just happened. I suspected something was wrong when I heard the voice of Mr. Food this week while preparing lunch in my kitchen. I hadn't seen your food segments in a long time, I thought you had retired, but I was happy to be listening to Mr. Food again! Still, the voice coming from my living room TV wasn't quite right, something was wrong...it wasn't you! (was someone from the Mr. Food Test Kitchen)

You were one-of-a-kind, always cheered and inspired me, and for years you were my lunch buddy when I came home from work at noon--always giving me a lift. I hope you knew how much you were loved and appreciated. Thanks for giving us so much over the years: all your great food tips, so many quick/easy meals, and of course your endless enthusiasm for having fun in the kitchen!

Dear Ethel, Steve, Carole and Chuck,
We were so saddened to hear about the passing of one will we always hold dear to our hearts, our "Reb Papa"...many knew him as Mr. Food, but we knew him and loved him as the dynamic "Tevya" some 40 years ago in Triune Musical Company's production of "Fiddler On The Roof"...Arthur LIVED the part and all his fellow actors felt like we were all part of his family...a feeling that has never left us and never will...to me, he was "Papa"...he "blessed" our engagement as we became engaged during rehearsals of our first running of "Fiddler" and came back married for the second running...Arthur sang "One Hand..One Heart" and "Sunrise, Sunset" at our wedding...it meant so much to have he and his family with us to celebrate our commitment to each other...Arthur and his family have been an inspiration to us and will miss the wonderful times we had! Our hearts go out to Ethel and the whole family...Please know you are in our prayers...Keep strong...Arthur has only left Anatevka to go to a new and better place...Love to you all...
