I am a loss for words......Jimmy wasn't a friend he was a brother and now I am empty to hear about his passing. I will never forget the good times we had and also remember how good Jimmy was to me and Brittney. I want to write so much but it's so hard to do so. Good bye my brother and I truly wish I could have said that in person.

Jim was someone who touched and impacted the lives of everyone he knew. There is no one like him, he was so full of life and could light up any room he walked into.

We all have so many great memories of him and how he lived life to the fullest, gave so much of himself, loved so deeply and he too was loved in return. He loved his friends, his career and above all his family.

There are not enough words to describe what a great loss we have all suffered with his passing. He was taken from us too soon, is deeply missed, but is now truly at peace.

My Love Always,

Jim will all ways be remembered for his awesome energy and kind heart. He always gave the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it. He loved his two daughters so much and there are too many memories too count! Jimmy loved the fire department and after retirement missed all his "brothers" that had served with him for years. He was a great hazmat fireman! He loved to tell stories about his job and was such a animated story teller you almost felt like you were right there with him. He always put other's needs before his own. Above all Jimmy was a caretaker, and he was always there if you were ill or just needed some type of emotional support.

My dearest Jim:
You will be more missed than you could ever possibly imagine! Be at peace and forever shine down on us who are still down here. Our days will be so ordinary without you. You will now always be forever young; and you would not have had it any other way!
Forever,
Christie

With his smile, laugh, and great sense of humor, even when things did not go his way. I am sure you will be taking care of us from up there as you always did here.
We will always Love and Miss you. Marybeth, Kristin, Justin, Bree, and Mason

Lea and I mourn the loss of our good friend; and Perry and Garret really miss their "Uncle Jimmy". He enhanced our lives with his warmth, humor, and generousity. He was a dedicated and fearless firefighter who saved lives but also lifted spirits. Jimmy was a man's man and a child at heart, a rare combination that brought him the love and admiration of many friends, including all the members of the Kaplan family.

To Barbara, Alex, and Taylor, as well as all of those whose lives he touched, we offer our deepest condolances as we share your grief at this immeasurable loss. We hope you soon find peace which leaves you with only the best memories of Jimmy.

In loving memory of a unique and wonderful person,

Michael, Lea, Perry and Garret
