Norman was a one-of-a-kind, someone-you-will-never forget gentle soul. We met at a dinner theater in the early 80s after my sister dared me to strike up a conversation with the best looking man in the house...that was Norman. It was if he had never met a stranger and we became good friends. Although we had lost touch over the years something would remind me of him from time to time and always put a smile on my face!
Norm O'Rourke was not only a highly capable and experienced attorney but was the best example of a true gentleman that there could ever be. He represented the utmost in class, dignity and in character. He was the kind of lawyer, and the kind of human being, who spoke well for the legal profession as well as for the human race. We would all do well to strive to be the kind of person that Norm was. May he rest in peace and may his close friends and loved ones be comforted during this extremely difficult time.
I met Norman and the crew when they were prosecutors and I was a court reporter 30 years ago. He was always such a nice, kind man. So sad to hear of his loss. I miss those days, we were all one big family at the courthouse at work and at play.
Norman was a true spirit. It was a joy to know him and a more rewarding experience to work with him. I was fortunate to do both. I was truly blessed to have shared in a small part of his world. Rest in peace dear friend.
Norman, you were a very distinct individual and I am so glad that I was able to know you. You meant a lot to so many people. You were so much fun to laugh with and always had an interesting story to tell. You will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of working for and with Norm in the state attorney's office. He was humble, unassuming and competent. He will be missed.

I will always remember how I met Norman. We were on a crowded elevator at the courthouse and I heard this Southern drawl...I knew right away I'd found a buddy. I will always remember how funny he was. Rest in Peace dearest.
Norman was surely "one-of-a-kind"! It is such a loss to all who knew him. I will miss him and cherish my lovely memories forever. Love, Suzi
