Still struggling to cope without Ian being in my life but through him have made friends who meant much to him.
Monday, 5 January 2015

We have wonderful memories of Ian and Joy. We painted their house in Kilcoy and worked as a waitress and head Gardener at their Dolly's Cafe. We stayed with them for a couple of months. Ian always would bring us a cup of tea in the morning accompanied by a paper doily that he pulled out of his pocket. Fond memories, sadly missed Xxx

Dearest Ian, there are no words that could explain the emptiness that we are all feeling from the loss of the world's greatest most inspirational man to ever walk this earth. You were the kind of man that had a way of touching the hearts of everyone who ever met you. I only knew you for 8 or so years but you touched places in my life that nobody else could ever touch, you were the greatest. I just wished we had kept in contact after you had left England for the sunny side of Australia but you were always in my heart and thoughts each and every passing day. Now you no longer walk amongst us, your stories will forever continue to be told. You will be missed by those who knew you. RIP xx

Ian was only part of my life and especially my Mum's life for nearly 5 years. He bought happiness and comfort to my Mum's life when I really thought she was past that with her disease. She was unable to be at the funeral but I know in my heart the care and appreciation that she had for Ian was immense. He made her laugh and be part of a normal life when others had stopped considering her "normal". His carefree ways were inspiring, the way he thumbed his nose at rules made my whole family laugh, his appreciation for our Christmas gathering made Christmas worthwhile for me. Some people come into your life and unfortunately you don't realise their worth until after. Thankyou Ian for the times you helped me feel good about myself and all that you gave to my mum! Love always x

I new you for 60 years we had a lot of fun times, you taught me how to ride ponies at the highest level but then boys took over. You enjoyed a Worthington or 2/3/4 at the Three Crowns East Preston, I also did a few miles up and down the beach at Littlehampton with little ones on your ponies.I could go on with plenty of stories but all I will say is R.I.P. Ian xxxx
