I had no idea that Mario had passed away until I saw you at my father's funeral last month. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will always have very warm memories of the two of you as I stopped by to pick up Hilda from her hour of beauty with you two!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Just wanted to say how sad it made me to find out that Mario passed away (my Polish stepdad Ed Kokernak told me) but so happy to know he's up in heaven, probably chatting my grandma and mom up. A dear, sweet & kindhearted man who has made heaven a more special place! I send huge hugs to all of his family, especially Terry, who cut my hair a number of occasions when I was growing up, (including giving me my first perm in high school that my mom called me a poodle over, haha!).
Very sorry to hear of Mario's passing. Mario and my father, Morris A. Cherny, were cousins. I remember visiting with your family in Syracuse many years ago. Deepest condolences, Bill, Pat, Aaron, Rachel and Hannah Cherny
Liebe Tante Resi,
Dear Dr. Cherny and family, So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. May God give you strength and comfort during this difficult time. I remember my mom taking comfort that both you and your dad enjoyed some of her Ukrainian cooking. Take care.
When I was a young teen, Mario would look at me with a raised eyebrow, nod knowingly and say "Marta, you know what is the definition of a teenager? Half-baked but full of flavor!"
Tom and I will always remember him fondly. The Cherny family added many memories to our lives. Our thoughts are with all of you during this sad time.
Dear Terry and family, I'll always remember the delightful visits I had with Mario when I'd see him at Wegmans - usually trying to smuggle sweets! Mary and I will remember you all in our prayers. How fortunate we are to have known him.
Dr. Cherney and family,

Dear Terry and family, We were so sorry about Mr. Cherny. Always loved to hear his stories and anecdotes at gatherings over the Artim's. Such a great man with an amazing history. I am so sorry to hear of Mario's passing. He was so kind to me over the past 30 years, and I always looked forward to having my hair cut and talking stocks with him! Also enjoyed playing golf with him back in the 1980s. A great giving person that will be missed by us all.
My thoughts and prayers to the Cherny family.
May his “Angel's Wings” carry you all, give you rest, peace, comfort and strength. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with each of you,
Very sad to hear this. An effervescent and indomitable man. Deepest sympathies to Terry, Richard and Susan, my neighbors years ago. David
Years ago, It just so happened that my commute to work was on Mario's walk to work. Everyday, I would watch him walk. He had such purpose. He would smile the entire time and wave to neighbors as if he hadn't seen them in years, not hours. Now, knowing his story, I understand his purposeful steps and large smile. I am blessed that I got to witness this incredible man doing what seemed to be an everyday activity. May your memories keep his warmth in your hearts.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
He was an old friend of my father-in-law, Henry. I heard such good stories about Mario.
Deepest condolences to the entire family. I admired Mario for so many reasons - not the least of which was his happy demeanor and his wonderful stories. I will miss him.
Please accept my deepest condolances in the loss of your dad. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
