Chad Kelly Obituary
Chad M. Kelly, 30, of Fulton, died on Monday, July 23 at Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar. A native of Fulton, he had been stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. Chad was a G. Ray Bodley High School graduate, class of 2000 and he received his bachelor's degree in business and marketing at SUNY Oswego in 2005. He served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2010 and was assigned to the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment in Germany; the 319th Military Intelligence Battalion at Ft. Bragg, NC; served in Iraq from August 2007 to October 2008 and received three Army Commendation Medals for his service. Chad was employed by Macaulay-Brown, Inc. in Hampton, VA and had previously worked at Torres and Centurum. He was a lover of art, music, photography and tattoos. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Marie Kelly Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Rose Duda.
Surviving are his parents, Herbert "Butch" and Donna (Duda) Kelly Jr. of Fulton; his sister, Corin Kelly of Fayetteville, NC; his girlfriend, Lauren Renne of Brooklyn and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 3 at The Church of the Holy Trinity, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets, Fulton, NY. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 2 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

I was in awe when I found out about Kelly. I served with him in Iraq and Germany, he had a way of making us all laugh. God bless your family and thank you Chad Kelly for risking it all, you truly are a hero.

This is just still so weird to me. not seeing your messages on yahoo chat. Just catching up, talking, or planning things to do. I can't even think about what your family is going through. You always honestly spoke so highly of your family. Telling me how your sister said she was proud of you, and you loved them. That was one of the last conversations I had with you in Virginia. And future plans of when you could come on leave and hangout.... I'm not sure what to think or how to feel, because I still feel like you are here, listening, and ready to talk and be a friend at any moment. I hope this message gets to your family and you know that chad loved you all, and was so proud to be making his family proud and doing great things with his life. I'm deeply saddened to have lost a friend, but a great human in this world.

My heart breaks for your family. Although I only met Chad for a few days when he and Luke were in AZ, I knew he was a young man full of life and love. I still can't believe this has happened. Such a terrible shock to your close family. His service to our country was above and beyond but I know he truly enjoyed what he was doing.
