Miss Pritchard was my Kindergarten teacher in 1975, and remains to this day my favorite. I just asked a fellow Genesee Hills student for her home address in May so I could write a letter to tell her how much she meant to me. I waited too long to write that letter. It is amazing how much if that first year of school has stuck with me. When my own daughters found a fantastic Kindergarten teacher, I paid her the highest compliment I could offer. I told her that her style of teaching reminded me of my own Miss Pritchard. She encouraged my individuality. She laughed at my precociousness. She spoke to me like a little grown up. She made me feel safe.
Miss Pritchard, I still love parsley because of you. Please say hello to Miss Claire and my Mom for me. I'll always love you!
