Candy, Amy, and Carrie:
Jim was an extraordinary individual with exceptional talents. I had no finer friend whose enduring relationship spanned more than forty years. Jim's mentorship had a lifelong impact on my career. He had a fabulous memory and a wonderful sense of humor. We often would recall events and circumstances over the decades and laugh and laugh like they had happened yesterday. His big smile and bright blur eyes are an indelible imagewhich I will never forget. Jim's many contributions to improving health care in Pennsylvania and his tireless commitment to Pennsylvania's hospitals will provide an enduring professional legacy for many many years. He was a fine man and a very very good friend. May he Rest In Peace knowing that he gave to his friends and his community far more than he ever took. Ken Hanover

My heart goes out to Jim's family. I'm saddened to hear of his death. We were high school friends at Jordan-Elbridge and I knew then that he was destined to do wonderful things in this world ... it's clear that he did. He was such a good person, the real deal. What a loss, I'm so sorry.

Jim was a great friend. His Mom was our Den mother for Troop 52 of the Elbridge Boy Scouts. The Redmonds were a great family. As kids enjoyed ice skating in the swamp not too far from his home on Main Street. As a teenager we spent many days at Camillus Country Club. My wife, Pam and I attended Jim and Candy's wedding at Fort Belvoir many years ago. Miles have separated us, but our friendship was cast in stone. Our deepest sympathy goes to Candy the girls.
