We will miss Fitz at the AAPT meetings, especially in the International Committee. I'll always remember the few we tipped together while discussing international activities. RIP good friend!

Doc, my fellow teacher, Academic Decathlon coach and dear friend, will be missed. We shared many interests: film, novels, travel and food. Shortly after my retirement, he accompanied me to a CCS spring luncheon neither of us realizing it was "ladies only." That event is now integrated!

I treasure the souvenirs he brought from his many trips and the intelligence, wit and support he offered over the years. May he now be, "Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams." (William Cullen Bryant)

Fabulous teacher, great inspiration. Thanks to Doc Fitz and his like at Caz Central High I've enjoyed a very rich and rewarding career as a Chemical Engineer / Material Scientist. I owe my world to Doc Fitz, a great and generous teacher. RIP.

Doc was one of my favorite teachers and a wonderful guy, one of the people who made Cazenovia High School such a special place. He was a friend and advocate to generations of students, and touched and enriched the lives of many. I will always remember his humility, his sense of humor, and his dedication to his profession. May he rest in peace.

"Fitz" was my Master at North Syracuse High School back in 1961 and I'll be forever grateful for his mentoring. And we were co-teachers for some years after that. He was so nonjudgemental and balanced in discussing politics ,religion and most anything else. A very caring person whose spirit will remain with us always.
