Michael Bily Obituary
Soon after graduation, Michael moved to Syracuse to be with the love of his life, Mary (Buhaj) Bily. Michael was a successful and accomplished pharmaceutical sales representative as well as musician in various bands in the Syracuse area. His most accomplished musical successes were several albums released during the 1970's, 80's and 90's with the Ukrainian bands Chervona Ruta, Melody Nights, Happy Nights and German Band The Enzian Bavarian Band. where Michael was a standout accordion and guitar player. Michael also collected and played many classic instruments (most notably his guitar collection), collected vintage vinyl, loved classic cars, and had an ear for great music!
Michael was predeceased by his mother Tonia Bily and father Nicholas Bily, in-laws Anna & Walter Buhaj, and brother-in-law Peter Buhaj.
Survivors: Michael is survived by his Wife of 39 years, Mary (Buhaj) Bily, sons Christopher M. Bily and Alexander P. Bily, sister Helen (Anthony) Pisciotti, nieces and nephews Kimberly (Buhaj) Martinez, Jerry Buhaj, Nicholas Pisciotti, Andrew Pisciotti, David Piscotti, and many cousins, great nieces & nephews and friends!
Services: Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Michael will be laid to rest in the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday 5-7 PM at the Macko-Vassalo funeral home, 1609 West Genesee Street. The Panakhyda Service will be held at 6:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
