My first boss, a truly caring person. I have many fond memories of Dr Varney. Sorry for your loss Eric and Craig. He spoke of you both with great pride.

Joanne and I are deeply saddened by Bob's passing. Our heartfelt condolences to the Varney family. Bob and I grew up sharing many memorable times. Bob was an exceptional human being, always exemplifying kindness and integrity. He was a friend to many and always there to help in any way he could. I introduced him to Bobbi; and, after Joanne and I married, he connected us to an abused German Shepard that immediately brought immense joy to our family. We lost touch while we raised our families, but our friendship bond was never broken. In recent years we reunited and relived our youthful adventures. I feel blessed to have been part of his life. Bob will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

My sympathies to you, Bob's family. I had him as a History teacher at Chittenango before he switched to Special Education. He also drove past my house in his VW bug and if I was standing outside on cold days waiting for the bus would offer me a ride to school. I thoroughly enjoyed those chats and his skill at making History come alive. My prayers are with you.

I liked Bob; knew him from the SBDC.
