Five years have passed and your family is growing. More grand children have been added to the lot, while others have graduated and venture off to adulthood. As Taylor, Aaron and Alandra make their way to adulthood may they take some important lessons from you...

1.) Always smile and give them your best...even when you don't feel like it

2.) Always be present in the moment....even if they make you late. You can never recover the lost moments.

3.) Patience is one of your strongest weapons. It always keeps you on the offense.

4.) Kindness and generosity are your greatest defense. Love covers a multitude of sins...

Love you and miss you! Know that everything is covered!

dear walt, unfortunately i just found out about your death today. i cannot believe almost 2 yrs have gone by since you've passed. you were a great inspiration and coach, you taught me how to play football something that ive always cherished. i have told many stories about you to my children. my wife patty knows you also well because you were there in our younger years. i remember when you took me to oswego to watch tony play football along with going to my first professional football game in buffalo with you as my escort. you made a positive impact on my life, thanks so much for the quality time we spent together. once again i'm sorry for just finding this out. i still remember the last time we played football in john payne's yard at one of our reunion get togethers. you'll always be in my memories especially when i touch a football.

PS: guess we'll never know who's quicker in a 40.

Walt, I was thinking of you last night and I looked at a picture of us in umiform back in our Army days. I think of you alot and I remember back in the day when you taught me to just laugh off slurs and to try to understand people and not just pass them by. I remember in 1965 when your mom told me I was always welcome at her table. I did love your mom, she was a true lady. I will always love you my brother. Man I miss you.
