I just learned of Walt's passing today. He will be sincerely missed by all that knew him. He would light up a room when he walked into it.

I always looked forward to Walter's performance with the marching band, and missed him this year at the Fair. I asked where he was, and was deeply saddened to hear of his recent passing. Many of us will miss him and will not forget him. Our prayers go out to Walter and his family.

To the Marshall family:

Our condolences are with the Marshall family, We attened the NYS fair last night 9/3/09 and missed Walt dearly. Although we never met Walt personally we have watched him march in MANY parades over the years with the Fire & Police band. We always looked forward to seeing him in the parades as he was very entertaining and interacted with the crowds, the kids loved him as did many adults!

R.I.P Walt.

Bob and I met Walt about ten years ago on a bus trip to Toronto for the weekend through Upstate Medical Center, where I work. We talked, shared some laughs, and saw a Blue Jays game. We found him fun to be around. We had a lot in common. Walt will be surely missed by all of us who loved him. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family. God bless you.
