Dear Connie,

It's been eons since I've seen you and I want to express my condolences on losing your mom. I was Googling folks from my past and I thought of Dot only to read about her passing in January. I gather she was living with you at the time.

I've got so many fond remembrances of my time with her in Tallahassee, particularly the one Thanksgiving when you, Ellen , your mom and I spent the long weekend in Atlanta. Janet Gay (Sessions then) and Brooke were crammed into my hatchback, too, for that wild trip! We were all so broke, but managed to have such a great time on a shoestring. Those adventures always seem to be the most fun and the most memorable, don't they?

Anyway, I hope this message finds you, Ellen and Steve happy and well.

You're mom was a pure delight to know.

Take care,

Lois (Montgomery) Langley, Pittsburgh

Amen to your mom, Steve, Amen
She lived her whole life. Lucky you to be part of it, too, and lucky for her to be your mom.

Steve, Connie and Ellen, I was so sorry to read of your mother's passing. I haven't seen her in so many years. I have such happy memories of the time she spent with my parents and their "gang." She always had little tidbits of wisdom to share with me. Our moms are gone now but we are blessed to have such wonderful memories to sustain us. I'll be thinking of you all. God always heal those with a broken heart (Psalm 147:3). May he uplift you and strengthen you emotionally.

Dear Ellen and family,
While shopping for last minute Christmas gifts on Dec.23, I was in an "antique" store and there was the FSU Seminoles glass staring at me. I immediately saw you and your mom! The last conversation I had with Dot was about our favorite wines! Then I walked out of that store with the glass and made a plan to go buy a bottle of Dot's Sav.Blanc, bring them over and say cheers to an amazing lady! I'm on my way. Love you always, your "first friend in Bedford". Annette
