Fran and I grew up in Huntington WV were classmates until Fran moved to
FL. He lived in a log house out of town an was the site of boyhood fun for so
many years. We visited each other the end of our Senior year. Reconnected
in 2012 by 'e' mail, enjoyed the friendship all over again. Good by ol' pal I'll miss you. Johnny Kearney San Gabriel Ca.

Dad Just being Dad

As a little girl, age 6, my training began,
The journey to self-reliance, as he took me by the hand.

I'll teach you all you need to know, that was dad just being dad,
Little did I know back then, his wisdom would one day make me glad.

Of the person me molded me to be, with the skills I now possess,
In large part, with him just being dad, my character grew, I must confess.

But know it was not me alone, who profited from his wealth,
He had a calming way about him, that lead us all to better health.

In times of trouble, Dad was always there,
To both lead and guide us, he was prepared.

The teaching moments he walked us through,
As inexperienced children both old and new.

That says a lot about the man, that was dad just being dad,
He now is gone from this earth, but know we can't be sad.

He went to meet our maker, of this I know is true,
The wisdom he shared was his legacy, Dad, we bid you fond adieu!

Written about my Daddy by his little girl!
