We are so sad that dear Isabelle has left us - such a loving and exuberant woman - it was truly wonderful to have been part of her life, and to have her in ours. It is particularly sad for me that she was the last surviving resident of Weems farm, and though the farm has long since disappeared, it left so many wonderful memories with me, and many of those include Isabelle. We loved to hear her tell us stories of the fascinating history of north Florida and all the interesting people she encountered through out her long and full life there - such a wealth of wonderful tales. We will remember her always as compassionate yet tough, joyful and generous. We are especially sad for Isabelle's family and friends at this time though, for the great sense of emptiness that Isabelle's passing has left in your lives - you are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Still, we are glad to believe that this special Lady is now reunited with her family and friends that had passed on before her, and that she is immersed in pure Love.

Susan, Kent, and Lolly: We'll miss our sweet Isabelle so very much. The first thing that comes to mind was her wonderful way of telling a story. And there were dozens of them and all fascinating! Her service was lovely, and so many people came to pay tribute to her gentle, kind nature. To have known her was one of our greatest joys.

I came to know bay 22 years ago when we built our house down the road from her on Parkhill.I had heard of her way before then from my mother-in-law. She was a beautiful lady. I have had the most fun for the last 6 years in keeping her great grandchildren Robert and Nickolas Strauss. So many memories just one I want to share. When keeping Robert before he started school Bay would show up with ice cream, milk, drinkable kids yogert, cookies and other things that she would find out the kids liked. I can see her now coming thru the yard with a brown bag from Publix in each arm. I would say Bay you should not have done this and she would reply but, darling I just wanted to help. Susan, Kent, I loved your mom more then you know she will always be special in my heart. God bless!

Kent, So sorry to see this. May you find a bit of comfort in the fact that many people are praying for you and your family.

So shocked to hear the news! My Mama, Patty Yancey, briefly owned Strauss Gallery after having bought it from Isabelle in the late 1970s. They remained great friends since then, and are now, no doubt, two of Heaven's brightest angels! I love you, Miss Isabelle!

I am so sorry to hear of Bay's passing. She was the sweetest lady I believe I have ever met. I met Bay many years ago growing up in Chaires. I thought she was just beautiful. My thoughts and prays are with the family. God bless you all for having her in your lives.

FAREWELL BELOVED FRIEND. HOW BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN YOUR FRIEND OVER MANY YEARS. SO MANY MEMORIES OF WHEN WE WERE TOGETHER.I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE JEEP RIDES IN THE WOODS AFTER WW2 AND THE THINGS WE FOUND.
ONE OF THE HIGH POINTS WAS GETTING LETTERS FROM YOU AND IT WAS JUST AS IF I WAS TALKING TO YOU. YOUR TALENTS WERE ENDLESS.
MY CHILDREN ADORED YOU AND ALL OF THE THINGS YOU INTRODUCED THEM TO, GUINEA HENS, PEACOCKS, OUTDOOR SHOWERS, OLD HORSES AND HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL SO SPECIAL.
I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER!
