Behold these hands
So pale, so young –
A mere boy's
Came through the horrors of Vietnam
And then lay on the pain of all
Who sought relief
The young, the old and those between
A gentleness
So fine, so bold,
Is suddenly forever stilled
Untimely – at just sixty-four.

Dear Bunny and Family,
Our deepest sympathies to all of you for your loss. Rick was a great guy and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We knew him through Epiphany Lutheran Church where we enjoyed his music. God's blessings to you all at this sad time!

Our fervent hope is that a suitable on-line repository be established for displaying Rick's extensive photo work and to provide a forum for a more permanent dialog between the many people he touched. Rick truly had heart.

Dear Bunny and family,
I can't imagine the loss you are feeling, but can tell you that although meeting Rick 40 years ago and being 3,000 miles away today, it hurts here too. We last saw Rick 10 years ago. It was great getting together then --he was just as I remembered him.
Rick and I met as students at St. Pete J.C. We both ended up in Phi Theta Kappa, the college honor fraternity.
In the decades between now and then, we both married, raised sons, and started to enjoy the next generation. His nature photography was truly amazing, but what set Rick apart was his absolute wonderment, appreciation for, and devotion to, others. He loved you, Bunny—loved your life, your marriage, your collective children and grandkids. Undoubtedly his last moments on earth were spent thinking of you. Now it's up to us to remember him. And we will. I promise. Quinn, Zach and Jason, Carrie, Jenny, in-laws, cousins, and friends: Rick will remain in my thoughts and prayers, as will you.
Peace,
