Dr. Haire, as I always called him, always (or at least usually) referred to me as "Armstrong," and with good reason. I am saddened to learn of his passing, because thinking of him all those years ago in Jacksonville brings a smile to my face.

Dear Family. Though we do not see you, you are in our thoughts often, and especially during times like these. We have just learned of Uncle Wilbur's release from this life into the next. We pray for you that your memories will be good and filled with the happy times. May Our Comforter the Holy Spirit bring you peace during these days. - Ruth Harris and Libby Haire

What a special, kind, wise man your father was, Richie. He had a gift for putting people at ease and bringing smiles to their faces. I know you were a joy and a comfort to him throughout his life, especially in these last years. The affection between father and son that you two expressed so easily is rarely seen even today. You brought blessings to each other and to all who knew you. And may God bless you and bring you comfort in joyful memories in the days to come.
