Deborah POWERS Obituary

POWERS, Deborah Ann 55, of Tampa passed away March 11, 2013. Born April 6, 1957 in Yonkers, NY. Debbie was the oldest of 5 children. Debbie was a proud graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Psychology, which led her to the field of social work where she showed her talent by helping others with empathy and successful counseling. As a child, she loved to read, go to the movies and the zoo. Debbie carried this love of animals throughout her life and adopted animals from the local animal shelter, one of which was her beloved Sam. Debbie was the protector of her four siblings whom she is survived by, Doreen Schaub of Inverness, Daniel Powers of Bangalore, India, Denise Ravine of Ft. Lauderdale, Douglas Powers of Texas; as well as 7 nieces; 2 nephews; many beloved friends and her loyal dog, Phoenix. Debbie's happy smile and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
