Bonnie and Family, I am so sorry to hear Jim has transitioned. I had no idea he was ill. My family and I extend our heartfelt sympathy and will keep all of you in our prayers. I am honored to have worked with him and have fond memories of our time together. I can so vividly remember the stories related to his bass fishing and "Matt the Bratt". Jim was an awesome police officer, sergeant and trainer. So many owe their knowledge and skills to Jim's guiding hand, patience and mentoring. Like Bonnie, I was a member of the class of 42. Bonnie was fortunate to draw Jim as an FTO and life mate. He will be missed.

Bonnie,
I first meet Jim when I was still in the academy and he had the unpleasant task of a ride-along. Several years later I had the honor of working alongside Jim in SOS. You always knew where you stood with him and what he thought of a situation. The best thing to happen to him was meeting and marrying Bonnie. I feel extremely blessed to have worked and known Jim.
