My heart is broken at the loss of you. You are a awesome big brother. I love you!

We see goodness in all that are present in our lives, Steve was always present in my world since the age of about 9. We rode bikes and the bus, went to Roberts youth center, he worked at Billy's where my Best friend has worked for the past 10 years at least as the entertainment, he could be seen at the sunset grill and we hung out at the same places and knew the same people. Most recently, I got a hug at Billy's and he sent me a shot, friends do that sort of thing. He will be missed by many but mostly by his family, his loves and his friends.

He often gave us a ribbing growing up, never in a mean sorta way, just in a kids will be kids sorta way, I remember him and Jerry Gard at the bus stop goofing around, we all did all of those things, teased each other, understood each other and walked beside our friends when they were hurting...growing up with kids you know viscerally is something kids today really miss. we were fortunate. I am sure somewhere in my writings, as I age, he will be a character in the cast of many I reflect on while writing. The world was better for him and it brings me sadness to know he will not walk this earth with those he loved. May love and laughter make peace with the loss of this beautiful soul and may God hold you in the missing times when you think of his smile and humor. A casual till we meet again, I am sure you will be wearing a Hawaiian shirt, quietly watching from a boat in heaven, looking down on your family and friends...I imagine you will be happier without the pain. God Bless you Steve, see you in the stars.

Uncle Steven,

You were a fighter. You've been through so much and managed to get through it. I always told my mom you were like a cat. Not only because you were a cat lover but because you literally had nine lives, because you've pulled through. I'm so glad I was able to spend some time with you the last couple of weeks before you went to hang out with Uncle Michael and your Dad. I can't wait to tell Bryce wonderful stories about you.

Buddy always appreciated the great food at Billys and u were a part of that being so good. But even more just to see your smile when you came upstairs on a break made my visit there great. My thoughts and prayers for your family.
