Tom always said "Life is a journey enjoy the ride". Few people lived life the way Tom did.
He rode his bike cross country twice, He represented the city of St Petersburg with our Mayor in Japan via a cycling tour. He rode his Bike in numerous continents on an around the world cycling extravaganza.
After his second marriage he told me " I like thin women and have noticed that sailing cruisers are usually thin, I am buying a sail boat" We had some great times on that boat.
Tom was never afraid to make a decision and always moved forward.
St pete times pictures of Tom date back to the 60's at a love in. Toms photo was in the paper as he kissed a young lady in the park downtown.
Toms family owned the A&W hamburger joint on Treasure Island. He knew so many people and usually had a comment that made your smile or think.
He accepted his illness with streangth and resolve and lived large until the end. There are to many stories to mention in this short space.
His life was a testament to a life well lived. You will be missed and I am proud to have called you my friend.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family of Tom. I had no idea he was sick. I was on the list of his emails about his trip to Costa Rica, which I enjoyed. Such a great guy! Linda Sinclair Tindall, Bogie class of '67

Tom was such a nice and fun-loving person. It is so sad to hear of his passing. I know he will be missed dearly by his family and friends, but take comfort that he is in a better place now. RIP Tom.

I was heart-broken that I couldn't make it to say good-bye in person, I only found out the night before. You were always so wonderful to me, bringing me back coins from all of your world travels for my son's coin book. I am so sad that you are gone, but I know that now you are free from your ailments. You will always be remembered, Love, Chrissy Berry
