I tried to come up with just the right words to convey my heartfelt love and care for my friends, the Pinner family, but mere words fail me. Please just know that I care deeply that you are hurting right now and that I am a bit envious of Dr. Pinner for resting in the arms of Jesus today as I remain here to struggle through the difficulties of this fallen world. I know Jesus is thrilled to have Dr. Pinner home and that we will all see him again when we, too, go home.

Dr. Pinner was one of my closest friends and confidants while at Northgate Baptist Church. I largely count him as the dearest influence in my salvation moment. This gave a very Godly man much joy he expressed to me. One church member asked why Dr. Pinner liked me so much. All I can say is we clicked spiritually and from then on, every opportunity I had to meet with him was counted as gain and as a God gift. So many of us at Northgate feel so blessed for the time we had with him as our interim pastor. His sermons and Sunday nights with him kept me as well as others spellbound, with his dear wife Elnora close by. I will greatly miss him but he lives on in my heart and now in the loving arms of God. Condolences to his loving family and friends.

I wish to send my sincere regrets to all of the "Loved Ones and Friends" of Uncle Macky, as I knew him, through my wonderful adopted Stalling's Family.
He was kindhearted and friendly as the whole family. I was honored and blessed to know him.
Sincerely,
Tom Stygar

Tom will be missed by so many! Tom and Elnora have been precious friends to me ever since I babysat their children back in Staunton, VA. I live in NC now and haven't been able to visit Tom very often, but it was always good to know Tom was there if I needed him. I think of him so so often, of the wisdom he shared with me, and great humor.

Tom Pinner, and Elnora, were some of the sweetest people I was blessed to meet in my ministry and life. I first met them when they came to serve with CBF's Global Missions at the Prague Seminary. They came to help out with logistics, volunteers and to be an open ear to the students during a time of tremendous transition from the original campus in Ruschlikon, Switzerland to Prague in the Czech Republic. This set of changes brought much stress for those involved. The Pinners were wonderful, caring and capable people during this time. Beyond this 2 year period, Tom and Elnora were remarkably kind to my family and my children. As a pastor and former missionary I cannot imagine a kinder, or better example of a loving pastor than Tom Pinner. He lived and served well. Condolences to Elnora and family during this time of loss.
