I thought of Tanner today. I was thinking of how Jesus has paid the price for us to be free in Him. I thought of how many men and women put their life on the line for our daily freedom. I thought of how freedom isn't free. It cost a great deal. My thoughts and prayers will forever be with these families.

God Bless You and Your Family. You are so missed by your family. I pray for all the Soldiers that have sacrificed their life for our Country. I witnessed the Love your hometown displayed for You. What a glorious goodbye for you.

How difficult birthdays and holidays must be when you're missing a loved one.

These entries always break my heart but how wonderful to read the entry by Tanner's aunt. I look forward to meeting Tanner one day in Eternity.

Until you see him again I thank you for his service and your sacrifice.

May the Lord continue to comfort you as you miss him.

There are many that want to honor you on what would be your 24th birthday~it will be good to gather with your friends and family and hear some Tanner stories! I miss your stories. My husband and I rode as part of a group of 7,000+ motorcycles in an annual Freedom Run honoring all fallen soldiers in the Middle East. A wall has been established in Marseilles, Illinois where a ceremony is held each June; Tanner's name was sadly added to that wall this year. We were each given a replica of a dog tag with a name and I have the honor of having one with Tanner's name. I had to find out more about him and found this obituary. To the family of this brave, handsome man who gave his life, our deepest condolences. I intend to pass this tag on in my family with a copy of the obituary...I will see that he is never forgotten. Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (ps4fs@charter.net) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son and husband's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at gramman@comcast.net with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne
