I will always remember watching you in the mid 70s with my father and had one of your action figures and motorcycle that I would spend hours jumping over anything I could find . I have been telling my four girls about you recently and happened upon this guest book. May you rest in peace and may God bless your soul and your family .

It is not difficult to remember even now some 30 years later the sheer excitement of watching Evel Knievel on Wide World of Sports with my dad; even if it was a re-run that we have seen 10 times before. I was pretty young (around 7 or 8) when Evel retired, but I remember playing with the super-cool racing/jumping bike and action figure on my dad's pool table in our basement. All the neighborhood kids tried to emulate the legend and pretend that we were making jumps on our own pedal bikes just like he did on his Harley. In an age when there were few superheros in America, Evel always wore the red, white, and blue and made us all feel a bit stronger and taller as well as feeling like we truly lived in the greatest country that God created; and rightfully so. Rest in peace.
