Doug was one of a kind. He was a great friend, not only to me, but to everyone. We have so many great memories of him that we'll treasure forever. Now it means even more to me that my wife has always teased me when I begin to tell a story. She has always said, "Let me guess. One time, you and Doug..." I love him for being there all those years, and my wife for teasing me. Plant City has lost a great guy. We will always miss him. We continue to pray for Doug's family and Carole.
Doug was a truly delightful student in my third grade class at Bryan Elementary- also smiling, hard working and kind to others. My thoughts and prayers are with the lovely Gibbs family for which I have the very fondest memories.

Jack and Liz,
My heart goes out to you and your family. There are no words that can help a hurting heart at a time like this. "Trust in Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. ~ Prov. 3:5" May God quiet you and fill you with His peace.
You will be missed. Crazy how life goes, you had a full life ahead and had everything going for you. No more suffering, God will take care of you!
It is a terrible loss for everyone. What a wonderful man with a kind gentle heart. This community will be sad for a long time. He touched so many hearts. God has a true servant in this beautiful Man. So proud to say he was my friend.
