To The Karl Family,
May God bless and keep you at this time of sorrow. Mr. Karl is in heaven with God and will now serve as a guardian angel. "Weeping endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning," with the realization that your loved has triumphed over every adversity and is now in the presence of the Almighty. You will be in my prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mercedes, Rick and the entire Karl family. May you be comforted with the peace of knowing he is with God; We are all blessed to have known him.
I will miss my Uncle Fred greatly, who I just recently got to know all over again. He is my Dads older brother, and I miss them both.
The Pierce family sends love to the Karl family and we share many wonderful memories of our times together on Crescent Ridge Road. Fred is now well and with our Lord. Love to you all. Mary Ann and family
He will always be in my heart as a guide and moral compass. It was an honor to have known him.
To the Karl Family, I was so sad to hear about Mr. Karl's passing. I worked for Mr. Karl at the County Attorney's Office and he was wonderful to work for. Such a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I want to tell you how much I appreciated knowing Fred and a few of the many contributions he made for our state. I first encountered him when he left the Supreme Court and became public counsel for the Fla. Public Service Commission where he demonstrated integrity and a deep understanding of the complexities of the issues. My respect for him grew as his contributions in Tampa and Hillsborough County mounted. I know that this is a very heavy loss for you personally. You should know that it is shared by many thousands.
With utmost respect, admiration and sympathy, I sign Mr. Karl's guest book. To his dear family, may God send to each of you His comforter and His peace in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you for sharing Fred with us. When I think of Fred, the word "availability" comes to my mind. He was always available to listen to concerns...either big or small. I interacted with Fred in the late 80's, early 90's regarding "No East West Road thru Lutz". A precious man of great character!
With love and prayers,
Mercedes, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.
I KNEW MR. KARL FROM TAMPA GENERAL HOSPITAL. MY CONDOLENCE TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY. WE ALL AT TGH SHARE YOUR LOSS. WE WILL KEEP THE FAMILY IN PRAYER. VIOLA PHILLIPS RN/BSN 4TH FLOOR
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time Rick. Your dad was highly regarded and will be with you forever in your memories and heart. Find comfort in knowing your friends are here for you.
Fred Karl was a fine gentleman who performed service to Hillsborough County on a level that would exhaust most of us. If he saw a place that needed help, he always did his best to see that help was provided - usually by himself. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and my heart goes out to his family.
To my beloved Dad. I miss you. With love from Cyn.
Mr. Karl was a senior law partner and mentor to my Father, William Barr, before serving on the Florida Supreme Court. He was an extraordinary public servant and role model to many.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I attended Fred and Faye's wedding in 1948 and spent some time with him when he was in the legislature in Tallahassee. I recently communicated with the Mary and Cindy regarding family tree information. Remembering all the good times you've spent with him is comforting.
Fred Karl was my father's favorite candidate for Governor in 1964! Mr. Karl was kind enough to write a memorial letter in Dad's honor when he passed away in 2004. A true public servant and a man with a kind heart.
A true servant and statesman. Well done.

I met Fred and his wife Mercedes several times at numerous functions throughout the Tampa Bay area. A very special man -- he will be missed.
Thank you for your service to this country and community.
