I am a visitor to St. Stephen's Church when I come to Florida and it's my church away from home.

Monsignor Scully often celebrated Mass when I was in attendance. I will certainly miss him and keep him in my prayers.

His name will be written in November at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame du Lac in South Bend, Indiana.

God has brought you home, Monsignor Scully. Rest in Peace.

We feel blessed to have had Msgr.Scully
come to our Lunch Bunch at St.Stephen's
every month. He always shared his love of The Blessed Mother and how important it is for us to pray to Her and to say the Rosary every day.
We shall miss him and know that we have a special Angel watching over us .

I first heard about Monsignor Scully's passing while he was celebrating Mass at 3:00 P.M. 10/22 on Spirit FM. I was shocked and saddened to lose such a wonderful and such a holy priest from our Parish, but then I thought what a beautiful way for such a holy priest to go home to the Lord. When he celebrated Mass, his voice was so powerful and so strong - you wanted to catch every word. I went to confession with him a weeks ago and he made it so easy - he gave me a brochure of Catholic prayers and said I should say "Jesus I trust you" every day which I now do. When he celebrated Mass he sometimes would say that if you say 10 Our Father's, 10 Hail Mary's and 10 Glory Be's every day, you'll find such peace in your day. I started doing that today. He had the most beautiful Funeral Mass I had ever been to last night. It was very moving. When it was over, the lady next to me said "this was so beautiful I don't want to leave". It was such an honor to have Monsignor Scully at St. Stephen. We will all miss him so much and will never forget him.

Monsignor Scully meant the world to my family. He helped found St Patricks church where my Grandparents attended. Mryl and Chrystal McAdam opened their home and lives to Monsignor Scully, however at that time it was Father Scully. My Mom, Mary Lou McAdam Byerley and Dad, William H. Byerley Jr. were married by Father Scully and I was baptised by him as well. My family kept in touch with Monsignor Scully from the 50's to the very end. We always enjoyed hearing from him especially when he was in Africa. Last year Monsignor laid my Mom down in her final resting place. He comforted all of us during our time of grief. Just 3 weeks ago, though in a frail condition, Monsignor Scully insisted to go visit my Grandmother, Chrystal McAdam, now living in Sun City Center. What a God loving man. To me he was a Saint and always will be. I feel blessed knowing he is watcing all of us as an angel of God and is no longer suffering earthly pain.

Monsignor Scully, you are now where you should be, next to our Lord and Savior. I remember many happy sermons you gave at St.Patrick's School in South Tampa. You are the true meaning of beliving in God. Rest in Peace and welcome home! LynnMarie Boltze

Monsignor Scully, such a beautiful holy priest who cared so much for all. Always present before the Holy Sacrament that it was no wonder our Lord brought him home during the consecration of the Mass. We will all miss him greatly but will be able to pray to Monsignor to intercede for us.

May the perpetual light shine upon Monsignor Scully.

St Stephen Catholic Church was blessed to have benefit of his wisdom. We rejoice that the Lord called his humble servant during morning Mass. To the Scully family - Thank you for allowing his parishoners to celebrate their faith with his ministry. You were always in his prayers. May the Lord bless you in this time of grief.
