Although there are no words one can say to ease the pain of your loss, we pray you find comfort in the warm memories you share of Coach Kelley. He touched so many young lives and will live on in those he touched. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Coach Kelley was one of the nicest coaches I have had the opportunity to meet. He was always very nice to my children when we swam for TBAY and when we moved to BSAC. It didn't matter to him what club you swam with, it just mattered that you swam well. He always sang "Today's Tom Sawyer" to my son replacing it with Jon Sawyer whenever he got on the blocks during warm-ups. He never spoke an unkind word to any swimmer, even if they had a horrible swim. He would always find something positive. The swimming community has lost a wonderful coach. RIP Coach Kelley.

Dear Coach Kelley

Thanks for everything that you did for us. You coached us for four years and we thought you were the best coach in the world. We appreciated your patience with us when it was cold in the winter, and we enjoyed your jokes and funny stories at practice and at the meets. You encouraged us to do our best always, in and out of the water. You gave us nicknames that we will keep forever.
We will remember you forever and miss you so much.

God Bless

Coach Kelley, you were simply THE BEST!

I feel extremely privileged that my three children had the opportunity to be coached by you for the past four years. I will always be grateful to you for giving them the absolute best solid swimming foundation that they could ever have.

You were a huge part of their lives and we will keep you forever in our hearts. We loved you dearly, and will miss you very much.

I din't know Kelley personally, but what I did know was that he was a great coach, amazing with the kids, and an inspiration to me as a coach. I truly admired his style and enthusiasm. I will miss seeing him on the pool deck. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My daughter and I are greatly saddened by Coach Kelley's sudden death. He was a supportive coach to her and many others at CAT. Always improving their swimming and keeping it fun. Kelley was affectionately dubbed the surfer dude coach. Our deepest sympathy to all his family.
