My name is Jay Frye and I was paired with Mallory and her father in a qualifying tournament for the Senior Amateur. I have thought of Mallory so many times since I met her and I am deeply saddened by her passing. I have been blessed in my life to meet many special people, but Mallory instantly became my idol. Throughout our round of golf she and I talked about what she had faced in her life and quickly I realized what an incredibly courageous young lady she was. I was so impressed with her attitude and her stories of what she had accomplished on the golf course that she remains to be an inspiration to me everyday. I am so sorry that someone so special has left us. I know the incredible pain her close family must still feel and I sincerely express my condolences.

Dear Code Family

I never met Mallory but could tell what a great person inside and out she was just from the HBO special. I never forgot that story they did with her and I will never forget her either. She was a very special lady.

Dear Code Family,
I teach the 6th Grade Sunday School class at my church. For several years now I have used Mallory's story as one of my lessons. I show them the Real Sports segment as part of the lesson. Mallory's story ALWAYS has a HUGE impact on the students in the class. I can tell by the discussions that follow the lesson that the children have been definitely touched. I plan to continue this lesson each year as long as I teach. I just wanted you to know how Mallory has impacted the lives of the children in my class over the years. Mallory's story touched my heart deeply as well - in fact I always start the lesson, "I want to share with you the story of my hero..."
May God bless you all awesomely,

Dear Code Family;

I am fortunate to be able to work with young people teaching the great game of golf. Back in the early 2000's my daughter Leisl was paired with and played against Mallory in Westfield Center at the PGA Junior.

After the round they played together, as time would have it, she ended up in the same van with us going someplace after the round. I remember her being touted in print as the one to beat in that event that year. I commented and questioned her on what is it like to her to have the expectations of winner placed upon her? She graciously acknowleged and answered my question. I though to myself "what a great kid, I know her family is proud of her".

A few years ago Leisl was at the National Championship playing for Tulsa and she said Mallory had taped an inspirational and motivational message and everyone cried.

Leisl has since graduated Tulsa and we talked the other day about kids whom she competed against in college and back as far junior golf.... Mallory's name came up...

I just looked her up and can't say how sorry we are for your loss.

One of the pleasures in my life was the opportunity to meet and spend a few minutes with Mallory...

God bless you folks.

Dear Code Family - In working for the AGJA one summer, I was fortunate enough to have met Mallory and your incredible family. I just wanted to share a memory that will hopefully bring a smile.
- It was always exciting to work the scorers tent during an event Mallory was playing. The scorecards she kept for her playing competitors were works of art. Bright colors and giant numbers that looked like she was focused more on this scorecard than her own game. These were rainbows in an otherwise pencil gray sky. I can't help but draw a parrallel betwen them and her attitude as well. She was always so positive and happy it was hard to tell what she shot. How refreshing it was to see a smiling face coming into the tent when most of the kids were grumbling about a missed 5-footer. I will never forget her wonderfully bright presence.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Karen and Brian,
James, Tony and I wanted to express our sorrow regarding Mallory's passing. She was a beautiful young lady and made everyone around her happy with a smile always on her face.
My mom passed away on the 9th in Miami and I found Mallory's guest book when we placed my mother's announcement in Tampa where she lived most of her life.
Know that Mallory is now at peace and wrapped in the arms of angels.

Dear Code Family,
I am the mother of 2 girls, Mallory age 24 and Catherine, age 22, both with CF. I introduced myself to you years ago at The Harvest of Hope dinner to benefit Cystic Fibrosis in Saddle River, NJ. Your daughter, Mallory, was such an inspirational speaker who I will never forget. Having a daughter named Mallory, just a year younger than your dear girl makes me anxious for a cure to be in our very near future. God bless your family now and forever and for all that you have done as a family for the face of CF.

Brian, Karen,Jordan & Whitney

It's hard to put into words the sense of loss we feel at Mal's passing. Starting with Jordan's pony baseball days we came to know your family. Over the years we watched the kids grow and watched in wonder as Mallory went through life lifting the spirits of all those who passed her way. Courage like her's only comes from God and she certainly shed his light to all those lucky enough to know her.
While we mourn her passing and wish your family comfort in this difficult time we also rejoice in knowing that she is with God.

Dear Brian, Karen, Jordan and Whitney,
I'm sorry I was unable to speak with you at the viewing last night. We have never met, Mr. and Mrs. Code, but I have talked with each of you on the phone. I did this in my capacity as your children’s mathematics instructor at HCC. I know I taught Mallory and Whitney, and I believe Jordan also.
Mallory was the most memorable simply because she was the most recent. I had office hours the hour before Mallory’s class and encouraged students to come by for a visit if they had questions. I was pleased that she often came and it was at these times we talked on many non-math subjects.
She schooled me in CF and with a little encouragement talked of her faith in Jesus Christ. We are all comforted knowing she is absent from this body and present with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8).
It was a joy having Jordan, Whitney and Mallory. You must be very proud parents Mr. and Mrs. Code. God has blessed you greatly. You are in our prayers.

I was saddened to learn of the loss of your daughter and sister Mallory. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I new Mallory only through her inspirational reputation. A reptation that was often validated through words passed along to me. What a beautiful person it takes to create such an indelible image in a strangers eyes.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I was introduced to Mallory through Margret Shirley back in 2003 when we found out our daughter was going to have CF when she was born. I kept in touch with Mallory through facebook for years and chatted often. I just got remarried this past Sept in Anna Maria and talked to her about coming to meet her in person but she was not feeling well. I wish I had that chance again, but what an inspiration Mallory was for me as in our few phone conversations she told me how my daughter Lauren would have such better chances now. I will miss her and keep your family in our prayers.

Dear Brian, Karen and Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Mallory's passing. As parents of a 22 year old with CF and CFRD, Mallory's journey touched our hearts in a very special way. It seemed as if she pulled 50 years from the well of life and lived them all in 25. We hope you find comfort in knowing that Mallory will continue to be a source of strength and hope by showing others how to LIVE with - not suffer from - this disease. May God Bless you and your family.

Dear Mallory's Family,
Thank you for having the courage to give your child all the tools for handling her disease thus making it possible for her to share her strength and inspire others. I recently lost a dear friend at the young age of 17 to CF and have been inspired by her courage and desire to educate others about CF without any desire for pity. She too brightened many lives and accomplished much more than most of us ever will in lives 5 times the length of hers.
I pray Mallory's strength will bring you comfort as you move through these difficult times.

It has been almost 11 years but I still remember meeting Mallory for the first time. What a grown up and mature person she was at the age of 14 when our paths crossed. I played golf for CHS when her sister was just starting her career there. Mallory rode with the team to a district match just to see what it was all about. Karen and Brian,
I have been following Mallory's marvels for years through the sports pages. Dear Brian and Family,

Our deepest sympathy with the loss of Mallory. Although we never met her, the sport specials we saw of her courage, strength and love brought us to tears. You all were blessed to have Mallory on this earth if even for a short time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
John & Glenda Mason Orlando, Fl.

Dear Karen, Brian, Jordan and Whitney,

Mallory and your entire family has been in my prayers over the past several years in hopes that God will bring you comfort in difficult times. Now more than ever you should be assured that prayers are being offered.

Your entire family touched my son Mark's and my life for several years. You demonstrated commitment, courage, hope and love to all who were fortunate enough to have known you.

Mallory demonstrated a spirit we were blessed to have been exposed to and one we will never forget. Her courage and yours is an inspiration to us all.

May God bless you today and always.

Dearest Code Family,
Our family knows there is nothing anyone can say or do to take away your pain. God blessed you with Mallory's presence for twenty five years. This time may have been short but I know you wouldn't have traded it for anything. May God's peace and love be with your family.

Dear Brian and Karen,

Mallory was one of the finest young ladies I have ever met. She was an inspiration in so many ways. I shall never forget how poised she was when she spoke to over 3000 CF docs and scientists at our national meeting. They have never forgotten her.

I am very sorry for your loss. I am happy that she is in a better place.

I send my best wishes,
Preston Campbell

To friends and family of Mallory: we send our deepest sympathies in the loss of such a wonderful person. We rejoice with her as she dances in heaven, with new breath of life. Unfortunately, there will be a huge void here as you carry the burden of missing her. We are sure you will find comfort in knowing that you will be joined again with her. Our prayers are with all of you.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Mallory Code...her story is truly an inspiration and she obviously was a brave and beautiful person. My own family has been touched by the terrible disease CF, and Mallory's story serves as a reminder that everyday should be enjoyed to the fullest...may your family find peace in her rest.

I haven't lived in Florida long enough to hear of Ms. Code, but I can tell you this: before even reading one word of the story, I saw her face in the picture that went along with the story on TBO.com, and I instantly thought, "this girl knew Jesus". His light just glowed off her face--may His presence be a comfort to you all now.

We are relatively the same age, and I used to love watching you on the Fox High School Sports segment. You are everything a woman should be in her lifetime.

To Whitney and the Code family,

In my years covering high school sports for the Carrollwood News, I had a chance to see Mallory play golf many times. But I also got to see a fine young lady who gleefully followed in her sister's footsteps, and like Whitney, never let her talent overshadow her position as a teammate. Down-to-earth, happy-go-lucky, talented and intelligent: that's what I remember about Mallory. May your fond memories give you strength in your time of grief.
