CHAMBERS, Mary Alice Kelly, much loved kindergarten and first grade teacher, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 26, 2013, just short of her 96th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Robert Taylor Chambers., parents Elsie Charity and Donald McNeil Kelly, brother, Claude Warden Kelly and half sister, Jeanette Kelly Williamson. Mary was born in Madison, FL. and grew up in Parrish, FL. She attended Georgia State College for Women, the University of Florida and Auburn University, where she met her husband, Bob. She was a dedicated teacher who adored children. She began her teaching career at Parrish Elementary School and later spent a short time working at MacDill Air Force Base. After her marriage and upon the family's move to Tampa she taught at Helen Hill School. She later joined the teaching staff at Davis Islands Private School and retired her teaching career after a number of wonderful years teaching kindergarten at Palma Ceia Academy. Mary and Bob loved the Lord and were active members of First Baptist Church of Tampa. Her family and church were the most important things in her life. She also loved working in her yard and ministering to the elderly. Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Weihe, Margaret Baughman (Otis) and Kelly Green (Richard), grandchildren, Rudolph Taylor Weihe, Christian Chambers Weihe, John Douglas LeHeup, Robert Chambers LeHeup, Margaret Elizabeth Bolen, great grandson Jake Chambers Weihe, brother, Earl McNeil Kelly (Annie Ruth), and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wed. Dec. 4th at South Tampa Fellowship-Davis Islands Campus, 97 Biscayne Avenue, Tampa 33606. Interment will follow at Parrish Cemetery in Parrish, FL.

So sorry for your loss - she was a beautiful person!!!! I loved working with her at Palma Ceia Academy, she gave me Alot of great teaching techniques!!! If there is anything I can do for you feel free to let me know!God Bless and stay close especially the holiday like Mary would want you to do! Now you all have 2 special angels watching over you-TakeCare!!!!!
