JOHN LINDSELL Obituary
John R. Lindsell, 86, died March 13, 2015 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian. He was born in Rye, New York and has wintered in Sebastian for 12 years coming from Stratford, CT. John graduated from Xavier Military Academy, High School, NYC and received his BBA from Manhattan College, NYC. He was a four year US Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. John was an Information Manager for Insurance Services in New York City. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and formerly in the same position at St. Marys in Dumont, New Jersey. John was also a Third Degree Knight of Columbus at St. Marys in Dumont. Survivors include wife Patricia Lindsell, daughters Colleen Hauser (James) of Fairlawn, New Jersey and Sheila Ebert (Chuck) of Arnold, Maryland, sons Charles Lindsell (Carolyn) of Highland Mills, New York and Brian Lindsell (Carole) of Middletown, New York, granddaughters Stacy Masler, Jaclyn Londono, Dawn Aniello and Kelly Muniz, grandsons, Michael Lindsell, Patrick Lindsell, Jason Lindsell, Sean Ebert, Kevin Ebert and Ryan Ebert and nine great- grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101- 9908. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me".
